Microdermabrasion is a relatively simple process- a microdermabrasion device gently sweeps the face with a very fine, but abrasive, crystal tipped wand.  When these crystals are moved over the skin they painlessly remove the very top layer and any other debris.  The dead skin is suctioned from the face, leaving new, younger looking skin in its place.  Microdermabrasion may be combined with other treatments to create a newly rejuvenated and enhanced look.

Being one of the most popular skin care treatments, most clinics and spas offer microdermabrasion treatments.  Some skin care creams claim to offer microdermabrasion but, in nearly all cases, they are really only offering strong exfoliation.
